Nice Girl Mean Thoughts 
Wow you are right– wasn’t really familar with tank girl – but she seems to be more about the power while Rihanna’s your basic playboy / wet dream playing at being ” in charge” posing- I particularly detest the mud wrestling/rolling segment.
Was totally my first thought when I saw it – especially where she’s straddling the pink tank and wearing a Micky Mouse eared helmet. I did a specific search just to see if anyone else had the same impression!
I don’t think it’s a rip-off, so much as it it a homage.
Wasn’t it Picasso who said something about great artists… Not that I’m saying rhianna is a “great artist”

I had this exact thought when I saw the video. Looked it up, and I am not alone! I guess she put a bit of her own spin on it, but I’m not sure if it makes me like her a little bit more or hate her cuz she is NOT Tank! And where the hell was Jet? She missed an opportunity to make a reeeally stellar video by leaving Jet Girl out.
